Bozeman Montana- Lantern Parade with Random Acts of Silliness

I took part in MSUs collaboration with Random Acts of Silliness February of 2025. Two of my classmates and I created a 6 foot long flying fish lantern named Kween Phatty. We made her from cardboard scraps and found materials around the studio, and each scale was cut out of paper and hand folded and glued to her body. After dark she was illuminated from the inside out and even her wings light up! This event was so much fun, our groups really enjoyed getting to share this with the public and hearing all of the people’s reactions to Kween Phatty was so rewarding.

Livingston, MT- Livingston’s Center for Arts and Culture

The Livingston center for arts and culture opened a call for art the theme was abstract. I submitted this sculpture that you see on the left, this sculpture was created with paper, yarn, paint, and little but of tool. Each open bulb is wrapped in yard giving it a really fun texture, contrasted to the smaller closed bulbs that are painted and have a rough texture. This event was so much fun thank you to Livingston’s center for Arts and Culture for displaying this piece.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana- Black Bird Letterpress

I had the wonderful experience of going to Louisiana to work at blackbird letterpress in the summer of 2023. I got to print some of my own work, as well as learn all about how Blackbird Letterpress is run and I helped print for them and package up products. I learned so many new fun things about letterpress here this is what really got me into printmaking specifically letterpress. I returned to blackbird the following spring as a guest artist and got to print even more of my work in this beautiful print shop.
